Lendonwood Gardens

Lendonwood Gardens is a lush, colorful six-acre garden located near Grand Lake in Grove, Oklahoma. You can take a leisurely walk along shaded grassy paths throughout the gardens that lead you around and through over 1,200 different species of plants and an ever-changing display of colors and textures. The Gardens include 25 varieties of dogwoods, 75 varieties of Japanese maples, 125 varieties of hostas, 200 varieties of conifers, and 25 varieties of viburnums. With more than 500 varieties of daylilies, Lendonwood has been designated a display garden for the American Hemerocallis (daylily) Society.

Located on the Grand (Neosho) River in northeastern Oklahoma, guests can devote a whole weekend to lake explorations or stick to its 1,300 miles of shoreline. Anglers are sure to have a blast searching for largemouth bass, white bass, crappie, channel catfish, bluegill and the rare paddlefish on Grand Lake waters. Hunters can head instead to the Spavinaw Hills Game Management Area during special deer hunting seasons.

Antiques, collectibles and reproductions are displayed in exhibitions representing the mid-1800s to the early 1900s in the local four-state region (Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas).
